Delete your account and data

Learn 2 Putt has no sign-up, so there is no username to hunt for. What exists is an anonymous ID and a set of practice files on your phone, and this page explains how to destroy both — plus the one thing deleting them does not do.

Delete from inside the app

  1. Open Learn 2 Putt.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Scroll to the Account section and tap Delete account and data.
  4. Read the explanation, then confirm. A single tap cannot delete anything — the destructive confirmation is deliberate.

What gets deleted

  • Your anonymous account. The Firebase anonymous user this install created is deleted outright.
  • The links to it. Analytics, crash reporting and your purchase record all stop being attributed to that ID.
  • Your practice data on the device. Session history and every per-attempt record are erased.

The account deletion runs first, on purpose. It is the only step that needs a network connection, so if you are offline the whole operation stops before anything is destroyed and you can simply try again later. The app will never tell you deletion succeeded when part of it did not — a partial failure names the step that is outstanding.

Afterwards the app creates a fresh anonymous session so it keeps working. That new ID is unconnected to the deleted one.

What deleting your account does not do

It does not cancel your subscription

Apple and Google own subscription billing, and neither lets an app cancel on your behalf. Deleting your account or removing the app leaves an active subscription running and renewing. Cancel it yourself:

Refunds are also handled by the store you bought through, not by us.

It does not recall data already sent

Analytics events and crash reports transmitted before you deleted stay with those services until their retention periods expire. The app stops attributing anything new to the deleted ID, but it cannot reach into Google’s systems and pull back what has already gone. Email us if you want those records deleted too.

It does not erase the RevenueCat subscriber record

Your purchase record is unlinked from the ID rather than deleted. Ask us and we will have it removed.

It keeps your onboarding progress

Deliberately — so deleting your data does not drop you back into a first-run tour you have already been through.

If you have already removed the app

Uninstalling deletes everything stored on the device, including the credential for the anonymous account — which means the account itself is left behind with nothing on your phone able to reach it. If you want that cleaned up, email emmett.deen@deenventurestudio.com and we will do it manually.

Include your App user ID if you still have it. You can find it in the app under Settings → About → App user ID, and tapping it copies it. Without that ID there is no name, email address or account on our side to search — which is the point of an anonymous design, but it does mean we cannot identify your records for you.
